99% of people probably think it's a kei car with some badges slapped on.

It's a proper gentleman's gt car like how ferraris should be, not some fragile finicky rich boy toy like they are now.

Kei Car?

It's a proper gentleman's gt car like how ferraris should be,
And it has a GM 3-Speed Automatic.

Which are durable and rebuildable and have plenty of aftermarket support like spine-cracking shift kits.

It's Ferrari's Camry.

But, that's not Ferrari like at all. Ferrari road cars were total shit, and Enzo didn't give a fuck because they financed his racing.

Did you know the E90 M3 CRT (pictured in the middle in front of the GTS), is one of 67 sedan models made with the GTS engine?
Not many people know that car exists.

That broke about as often as Ferrari sends Cease and Desists.

And thats why I want a 400 gti. (Hint: the 400i had a chrysler auto-box. the 400 GTi had a proper 5 speed manual mated to the V-12) Elegant simplicity with enough power to blow the socks off of anyone who asks what the hell you're driving.
![]() 09/28/2014 at 00:21 |

UNLESS YOU BUY THE 400 GTI. then it has a 5spd.

"Ferrari road cars were total shit."
Were they, though? I mean, some, (like the 400i) maybe. But c'mon, it's a bit much to imply that none of them were any good.

Ferramry? Camrrari?
![]() 09/28/2014 at 00:36 |

They had shoddy build quality, incredibly finicky motors, crap electronics, etc. There is a reason why Lamborghini started building cars.

I think when they left the factory they were unreliable arsonist's wet dreams and just over the years people have rebuilt them to be far greater than they ever were.

Yeah, because so many other cars of that era didn't have shitty electronics... And yeah, the first fuel injected Ferrari motors did suck, because the fuel injection system was an afterthought in order to comply with regulations. And I also must've forgotten how good the Countach was put together, since you mentioned build quality and threw Lamborghinis name out there...
I'm not saying all of them were absolutely amazing, but seriously, it's not like Ferrari always made utter shit. Making a statement regarding Ferrari's road car history based on the 400i is about as misleading as making a statement about the US government based off of the Nixon administration.

I'm not basing it on the 400i, I'm talking about all of their road cars before it and many after it.

Pretty much.

Even though it would piss you off as a customer there's something to be appreciated about Enzo's shrewdness and desire to win.

I could see how that would be confused with the Plymouth Sapporo.

really? I could have sworn it was chrysler... still shitty
